Sunday Wishes

The serie captures portraits of economic migrants from Ukraine, working in Slovakia. Almost all of the people portrayed are working illegally, for they have entered the Slovak region with only tourist visas. After its expiration date, many stay in the Slovak Republic and their residing thus becomes illegal. Their daily regime is routine. Hard labor. Six day a week. Twelve hours per day. Sleep. The only free day is Sunday. I have photographed them always on that day. To everyone I have proposed 8 questions, to which they responded in writing. The answers and handwriting have become a part of their portrait.
